Menperin Airlangga: Digital Indonesia Economy is Growing Rapidly
INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta- Digital Indonesia's economy is growing rapidly. One of the driving factors is the qualified human resources in digital economy.
This was conveyed by Minister of Industry (Menperin), Airlangga Hartarto in a breakfast meeting with American Chambers Indonesia at Mandarin Hotel, Jakarta, Friday (15/09/2017).
"We encourage the establishment of digital economic incubators who work with companies to provide newbies," Airlangga said.
Previously, the Ministry of Industry (Kemenperin) is optimistic that the growth of digital economy in Indonesia will continue to run, and is targeted to reach US $ 12 billion for the next four years. The government noted a number of investment innovation digital facilities began to grow in the country.
"Various digital economic facilities are being born in Indonesia, digital economy helps Indonesia enter the era of Internet of Things (IoT) or industrial revolution 4.0," he explained.
According to his notes, there are several things that are believed to be the winner of digital economic growth in Indonesia, one of which is online payment transaction which has reached US $ 1 billion in value year.
"There are also other factors that are growing in Indonesia such as online trading, animation, and film industry," said Minister of Industry.
In addition, Kemenperin appreciate the existence of innovation facilities located in the area. "The existence of innovation facilities is highly appreciated, the ministry has digital facilities in Bali, the private sector owns Batam, in Malang there is, and soon in Bandung there," he said.
He cited the government's existing digital facilities in Bali, has been directly connected to the global animation market. Digital innovation facility that was born was encouraging the younger generation of Indonesia to explore themselves in the industry.
"The local government is preparing an innovation center, Kemenperin pushes with educational halls, and the government will also facilitate with market access so that there will be multiplication of the prototypes that have been created," concluded Airlangga.
