INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk has operated the 17.6 km Bawen-Salatiga toll road section, which is part of the Semarang-Solo toll road, on Friday (15/09/2017) yesterday.
This toll road will be operated without tariff until the issuance of the Decree of Minister of Public Works and People's Housing (PUPR) concerning the enforcement of tariff in the segment.

Semarang-Solo toll road is managed by PT Trans Marga Jateng, which is a consortium of PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk, Astra Infra, and PT Sarana Pembangunan Central Java.
The operation of section III, namely Bawen-Salatiga segment completes the operation of section I with Semarang-Ungaran segment along 10.85 km in November 2011 and Ungaran-Bawen II section along 11.99 km in April 2014.
"Currently, PT Trans Marga Jateng is completing construction of Salatiga-Kartosuro Area, along 32.20 km, so that the total length of the Semarang-Solo toll road will be 72.64 km," said PT Jasa Marga spokesman Dwimawan Heru.
The Bawen-Salatiga segment is operated temporarily only for public (small) vehicles, except for buses and trucks. Operation of Bawen-Salatiga Segment as well as marking the change of toll transaction system.
"The transaction system currently uses an open system, will then use a closed transaction system, in accordance with the Toll Road Concession Agreement (PPJT)," he continued.

For toll road users entering from Semarang, Ungaran or Bawen to Salatiga, or vice versa from Salatiga to Bawen, Ungaran or Semarang via toll road, at the toll gate exit still obliged to pay toll tariff for Semarang-Bawen segment, according to vehicle class and origin of gate .
"So the only free Bawen-Salatiga segment until the issuance of a letter toll rates apply," he explained.
Although Bawen-Salatiga is operated in the pilot phase but it is certain that the Minimum Service Standard (SPM) of Toll Road has been fulfilled. The facilities and infrastructure of the Bawen-Salatiga segment are in accordance with the Minimum Service Standards (SPM) of Toll Road as set forth in Regulation of the Minister of Public Works of the Republic of Indonesia number 16 / PRT / M / 2014 dated October 17, 2014.
