Bali Airport Not Impacted the Alert of Mount Agung

INDUSTRY.co.id - Denpasar - I Gusti Ngurah Rai Bali International Airport Manager said the flight at the local airport is not affected by the increased status of volcanic activity of Mount Agung which has become alert level.

"Until this morning at 08:05 Wita operational flights to and from Airport I Gusti Ngurah Rai run normally," he said as quoted by Antara.
Previously, Head of Center for Volcanology and Geological Hazard Mitigation (PVMBG) Geological Agency of the Ministry of ESDM Kasbani said the status of Gunung Agung in Karangasem rose from Siaga (Level III) to Awas (Level IV) starting from Friday (22/9) at 20.30 Wita.
"Looking at the latest condition of Mount Agung, whose flame is high and the increase of seismicity is also very remarkable, then we increase the status from Standby or Level III to Awas or Level IV," he said.
With this status increase, the original sterile area for a radius of six kilometers from the summit of the mountain was expanded to a radius of nine kilometers, plus the expansion of the original sectoral area of 7.5 kilometers to 12 kilometers to the north, northeast, southeast and south-west power.
