INDUSTRY.co.id - Pemalang - Minister of Transportation Budi Karya Sumadi said the government prepared five airports to anticipate the disruption of flights at Ngurah Rai International Airport Bali due to increased activity of Mount Agung.
"We have prepared the airport around Bali," he told the media crew, after the three-year dialogue themed Jokowi and Jusuf Kalla, in Gambuhan Village, Pulosari District, Pemalang Regency, Central Java, on Saturday.
He said the prepared airports are in Lombok, Makassar, Banyuwangi, Surabaya, and Malang.
Nevertheless, he hopes Mount Agung does not erupt so as not to disrupt the flight and tourism sector in Bali.
So far, he said the flight in Bali is still normal despite the increased activity of Mount Agung.
Earlier, I Gusti Ngurah Rai Bali International Airport management stated that flights at the local airport were not affected by the increase in volcanic activity status of Mount Agung that had become alert.
"Until now the flight is still normal," said Head of Public Relations I Gusti Ngurah Rai Arie Ahsanurrohim International Airport, in Denpasar, Saturday (23/09/2017)
