Witnessed by Minister Jonan, Stakeholder Provides Direct Assistance To The Inhabitant of Mount Agung Eruption

INDUSTRY.co.id - Karangasem, After visiting Mount Agung's Gunung Agung Observation Post (PGA) in Rendang, Karangasem, Bali, the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources along with the Head of the Disaster Management Agency (BNPB), Willem Rampangilei and the delegation reviewed the aid post as well as witnessed the symbolic assistance from Pertamina , PGN, PLN and PT Bukit Asam to the Vice Regent of Karangasem, I Wayan Artha Dipa, Saturday (22/09/2017).
"Thank you for the assistance I received and I will send it to the refugees who need it.If you help from these gentlemen can help alleviate the suffering of refugees spread in several locations refugee camps," said I Wayan after receiving assistance from stakeholders ESDM.
The assistance provided by ESDM stakeholders consists of foodstuff, clothing, toilet facilities, masks, and cash. The aid will be distributed in refugee camps in six locations already provided by the government.
The flow of refugees continues to arrive after the establishment of Mount Agung status Awas. The Vice Regent of Karangasem estimated that 64,000 people were evacuated from the area within a safe radius of 9 km and an extension of 12 km. Some locations are prepared, among others, in Field Memed, Singarata Field, and Putung Field, Karangasem District.
According to data from the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) Karangasem refugees from Selat Village and Amarta Buana Village will be placed in Mamed Field, refugees from Sebudi and Besakih Villages stationed in Singarata Square, refugees from Peringsari Village and Jungutan Village evacuated in Lapangan Putung, and refugees from Buana Giri Village was evacuated in Lapangan Nyuh Tebel.
While the people of Ban Village will be placed in Banjar Penggak Rajeng, Pura Ayu Terminal, and Tirta Tour, refugees from Batu Ringgit and Sukadana villages were evacuated in Banjar Bias. While residents from Kubu Village were evacuated to Tista Gede, refugees from Dukuh Village were stationed in Abang Square and last Ki Kopang Seraya Square for refugees from Tulamben Village.
