INDUSTRY.co.id - Pemalang - In addition to Eastern Indonesia, the Ministry of Transportation is also focusing on building transportation infrastructure in Central Java. This is said by Minister of Transportation (Menhub) Budi Karya Sumadi on the sidelines of the National Dialogue "Sukses Indonesiaku" held at Wanawisata Bale Gandrung in Pemalang District. Saturday (9/23/2017).
"In Purbalingga, not far from here about 1 hour, will be built Wirasaba Airport. In addition, Tanjung Emas Port in Semarang will also be developed. Central Java is also our focus because of the large population, "said Minister of Transportation.
Related to the construction of Wirasaba Airport in Purbalingga, further said the Minister of Transportation, the implementation of ground breaking is planned to be implemented this year.
"Wirasaba is being attempted sometime in November-December we start. President Joko Widodo is planned to conduct ground breaking of Wirasaba Airport development. The airport is targeted to be completed by the end of 2018, "he said.
The plan for the construction of Wirasaba Airport will be done by PT Angkasa Pura II (Persero) with an investment of 300 billion rupiah.
Explained Minister of Transportation, many domestic airlines are interested in Wirasaba. The Minister of Transportation mentioned that there will be 2 stages of runway development of Wirasaba Airport.
"Runway we expect the first stage (length) 1600 meters, the second stage to 2400 meters," said Minister of Transportation.
