Communities Asked to Utilize WP and KUR Funds

INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - The Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs (Kemenkop) continue to encourage the community to entrepreneurship and utilize the Beginning Entrepreneurial Fund (WP). To get the WP fund, the prospective entrepreneur must send an e-business proposal to www.pembiayaan.depkop.go.id with the largest amount of venture capital given 35 million rupiah.

Also present as a speaker is Lily Setiawati, a successful WP fund recipient with his Batik Nature business in Temanggung, Central Java.

On that occasion, Prakoso also encourages entrepreneurs or perpetrators of KUKM who still need additional capital to access financing from People's Business Credit (KUR), whose interest is relatively very cheap, ie 9 percent per year. The funds can be accessed at a number of government-appointed channeling banks, such as BRI, BNI, Bank Mandiri, and several other banks.

In addition to KUR, continued Prakoso, the Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs through the Institution Management Fund Rolling Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (LPDB-KUMKM) also prepare financing with a light interest rate that is  4.5-6 percent per year.

The government, he said, is committed to keep increasing the number of entrepreneurs in the country. To that end, Deputy HR Kemenkop SME itself has implemented programs, including entrepreneurship development, quality improvement KUMKM human resources, the development of standardization and certification of KUMKM human resources, as well as strengthening the capacity of mentors and companion KUMKM.

Through a number of these activities, said Prakoso, has been proven to increase the ratio of entrepreneurs in Indonesia. By the end of 2016 the ratio of Entrepreneur has reached 3.10 percent from 1.67 percent previously. Targeted to the end of this year could reach 4 percent.

In the future, Prakoso said, his side will continue to boost a number of entrepreneurship training by bringing in professional trainers and successful WP program beneficiaries. For example, if anyone wants to learn batik, I will ask Mrs. Lily as her instructor, "he concluded.

Meanwhile, Lily claimed ready to assist the government in this case the Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs. He expressed readiness to help train the community who want to batik, from the process of production to marketing.

For marketing of this batik product, Lily said, need to be determined first the market to be targeted. For example, want a captive market or want to create their own market through social media or internet, and exhibitions both inside and outside the country.

Lily himself is one of the WP fund recipients in 2015 who has now been successful with his Natural Batik business. Before getting WP and training from Kemenkop and UKM, turnover is only about 1.5 million per month, but now has grown to 10 million rupiah per month.
