The President explained that the reservoir development target is progressing from the original plan of 2020 to July 2019.

The Karian Dam, whose development plan has been carried out since the 1980s, has been worked on by the Cabinet since three years ago and has reached 47.14 percent.

"This reservoir is the third largest reservoir after Jatiluhur and Jatigede, then Karian Reservoir," said President who added another reservoir is also being built in Banten province, namely Sindang Hela Reservoir.

Karian Dam will irrigate the Ciujung Irrigation Area which has an area of ​​22,000 hectares.

The flow of water is also expected to meet the needs of raw water Cilegon and Serang regency of 5.5 m3 / sec.
