INDUSTRY.co.id - Seoul - The Minister of Industry, Airlangga Hartarto, said that the prospects for industrial development in Indonesia are still promising as demand for industrial land is increasing. To that end, industrial zones must be interconnected and integrated.
So industrial area managers must synergize with the local government in solving various problems that arise, "he explained as a speaker at The 8th Asian Leadership Conference in Seoul, South Korea, Tuesday (4/7/2017).
Airlangga believes that if these efforts are well implemented, it can increase the competitiveness of industrial estates while bringing multiple impacts to the regional and national economy.
In the next three years, we also encourage the acceleration of industrial estate development in Tanjung Buton, Tanah Kuning, Gresik, Kendal and Serang, he said.
A total of 73 companies registered industrial area become the Association of Industrial Zones (HKI) with a total area of 54,650.52 Ha.
"The industrial area has succeeded in realizing the operation of the manufacturing industry in which as many as 9,200 companies are able to absorb the labor of 3.68 million people," said Airlangga.
Based on the records of the Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM), South Korea is the third largest investor in Indonesia.
