INDUSTRY.co.id -Bandung - The Government of Bandung, West Java, allows online transport to operate with the records of drivers obeying regulations issued by the Ministry of Transportation.
"The first conclusion is that online transport is not prohibited, please do not prohibit it, please keep operating, people can choose between online transport or conventional transportation," said Bandung Mayor Ridwan Kamil in Bandung, Tuesday (17/10/2017)
The man who is familiarly called Emil said he had coordinated with the Director General of Land Transportation and the Government of West Java Province. Residents are just waiting for the result of the amendment of Minister of Transportation Regulation no. 26 of 2017 which will be amended as of November 1, 2017.
According to him, the rules will regulate the rights and obligations of the operators of online and conventional transportation. While there is a shift in change, the government does not ban operations.
"There will be a revision of Transportation Regulation on the 1 st of January, but it does not stop operating, so it would be wrong to translate that in the process of this regulation revised there is a termination of operations," he said as quoted by Antara.
That way, the city government still encourages the owners of public vehicles, both online and conventional, both adhered to the prevailing rules. During this time, there are still owners who have not registered the vehicle in accordance with the rules.
"So the service to the public should not be dismissed," he said.
To the citizens, he insists that they are free to choose the mode of transportation to be used. There is no necessity to choose one of the two modes of transportation.
If there is a dynamic that requires drivers of conventional and online transportation to channel their aspirations, the City Government does not prohibit. But with the note, the aspirations are conveyed through good ways and still maintain the city's conduciveness.
"Aspirations and dynamics should be conveyed in good channels, want protests please, etc. But it should not be anarchist and keep conducive," he said.
If part of the process occurs strikes by one mode of transportation, the Government of Bandung has anticipated.
He has deployed all official vehicles and invited volunteers to help mobilize citizens. State-owned companies will also step in to help.
"The technology can not be resisted, all of this life business is slowly going to have to use technology, so communication continues to be hopefully understood," he said.
