INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - The development of online applications today, especially e-commerce, is feared to reduce the use of labor in Indonesia. The high unemployment rate in the world's 4th largest country is considered not ready to face the change

Indonesia has a population growth of 5 million people per year. This condition resulted in high employment needs. If employment decreases, the unemployment rate will continue to increase.

"Therefore, the government is expected to manage the application of business-based digital applications carefully," said Hary Tanoesoedibjo, Chairman of MNC Group, in Jakarta, Monday (30/10/2017) evening.

Harry pointed out, do not let the various online applications of various foreign companies reduce the use of labor in Indonesia. Therefore, the development of local applications should still be supported by all parties.

Nevertheless, according to Harry, the development of domestic-based online applications also need to be regulated by the government to avoid counterproductive to the employment needed by the community.

Harry said, the rapid development of information technology today can not be dammed or disappeared just like that. However, the condition raises two key issues to be considered, namely network issues and application content.

"The Internet is a necessary network in information technology. Development of infrastructure that supports the improvement of internet services is needed in Indonesia, "said Harry.

The infrastructure can encourage economic development, education, to the entire community. The speed of wireless connection can make the whole life of society more efficient. (Abraham Sihombing)
