INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta- Transportation Minister Budi Karya said Tanjung Priok Port will be an example port that will implement efforts to reduce efficiency.
Budi after the coordination meeting on the efficiency of port management in Jakarta, wednesday (1/11/2017), said the port efficiency must be done for two sides, namely time and cost.
"The Ministry of Transportation will make Priok become one of the pilot ports, maybe 50-70 percent of us will replace the new ones," he said.
His side, continued Budi, will also be initiated so that employees who work in the scope of the port can come to work during the weekend.
"Now it has entered its employees but there are some agencies that have not entered such a bank We ask all incoming so that the flow of goods in and out on Saturday-Sunday still running," he said.
With this effort, the former President Director of Angkasa Pura II mentioned that there will be an efficiency of 60 percent to 70 percent.
"We have 7 days to a week, we will decide," he told the media crew.
Budi explained that efficiency in port management should be continuously improved as part of boosting Indonesia's business competitiveness.
He calls the attractiveness of a country can be seen from the cost of a competitive port and does not take much time.
"Our spirit is trying to make improvements, reducing costs so that the value (cost) goes down but the volume increases, therefore we identify all the costs both in the port and the cost of the Ministry of Transportation," he said.
