INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - One of the service provider company based on application or taxi "online", Grab Indonesia, recorded the number of vehicles that have conducted periodic test of motor vehicles in Jakarta as many as 9,400 units.

Managing Director of Grab Indonesia Ridzki Kramadibrata said compared to other cities, the number of fleets that follow KIR test in Jakarta is the most.

"There are 4,500, but in fact there are still more than 5,000 additional fleets that have not been recorded, so there are a total of 9,400 of Grab already KIR in Jakarta," said Ridzki accompanied by Minister of Transportation to monitor KIR test at Pulo Gadung , Jakarta, Sunday (5/11/2017)

He explained that his side supports related KIR test obligations as a condition in the Minister Regulation (PM) 108 of 2017 on the implementation of Transport People with Public Motor Vehicles Not In Route.

Jakarta Transportation Agency facilitates KIR test for "online" taxis on Saturday and Sunday. At the end of this week, the number of Grab fleets that follow the KIR test as many as 70 vehicles.

Ridzki asked the Ministry of Transportation to speed up the KIR test process by increasing the capacity of vehicles through cooperation with private entities of Brand Holder Agents (APM).

According to him, vehicle testing places should not rely on UP PKB Pulo Gadung facilitated by Dishub DKI Jakarta. This is because the current fleet of Grab Indonesia that has not implemented KIR test reach hundreds of thousands of vehicles.

"The cooperation with private parties for example, because the current capacity of 200 to 300 vehicles per day, if such is not cruel so it needs to be opened again," he said.

He added that to motivate the drivers or cables cooperatives online, Grab Indonesia eliminate KIR test costs up to the first three weeks.
