INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - Taiwanese businessmen are interested in logistics business, considering Indonesia with thousands of islands.
Jack Chen-Huan Hsiao, Director of Economic Division, The Taipei Economic and Trade Office (TETO), assesses logistics as an easy target for Taiwan to take on the market.
"The logistics business in Indonesia has an opportunity because Indonesia has thousands of islands, it is a challenge for businessmen to send goods, this is logistics business opportunity," he rich in Jakarta, Wednesday (8/11/2017).
In addition, Taiwan is interested in infrastructure business. Asean investment cost Taiwan alone has poured funds of US $ 3.3 billion. Indeed, he is reluctant to disclose the amount of funds that are ready to be allocated to infrastructure in Indonesia.
In this infrastructure, he added, Taiwan has ever tender in particular to the power plan and electricity. "But it failed, but it remains a joint venture to companies that win the tender," he said.
Beyond this thing, he said, Taiwan has food preserving technology. "Taiwan has food preservative technology, this could be a plus for food producers in Indonesia," he explained.
