Yanus explained that the addition of the reporting table was a small part of the major infrastructure development plan at the local airport including the expansion of apron or airplane parking space planned to be built west of the runway or close to the VVIP-1 terminal.
He said that for the first phase of the development of the apron, an area of approximately 48 hectares of the total 84 hectares of land is planned to be carried out by reclaiming the west coast near the runway or near the VVIP terminal.
The construction of the apron is estimated to cost around Rp1.7 trillion, which is planned to be implemented by the end of this year.
