INDUSTRY.co.id - Palembang - PT Waskita Karya (Persero) in building a national strategic project of a light railway line or LRT in Palembang will again get an injection of Rp880 billion from the government which is expected to be liquid by the end of this year.

Head of the Palembang LRT project from Waskita Karya Mashudi in Palembang, Sunday (12/11/2017) to the media crew said that the fresh funding is at least able to smooth the cash flow since the beginning of the company bail first after the first payment of the first term by the government Rp999.7 billion.

As it is known that the red plate company is borrowing money to a third party to bail the project so it is also burdened with interest.

"Yes, it is hoped that by the end of this year there will be an addition because the realization of the project per November is already 70 percent," said Mashudi.

Palembang city railway construction work as of November has reached 70 percent after completing almost one hundred percent of the flyovers.

With this achievement, the company is optimistic that the work will reach 80 percent progress until the end of the year or in accordance with the target projections.

"For the elevated highway there are several points, namely at Polda intersection, intersection of Force 45, and Palembang Icon Mall intersection." It is estimated that the work at three points is completed by the end of the month, "he said.

He said the narrowness of the working area of being on the median road to be one cause of work can not be accelerated. The community's need for passing by is also a major consideration in the national strategic project development infrastructure supporting this Asian Games.

But regardless of the issue, Waskita Karya can at least breathe a sigh of relief because the crucial work at Ampera Bridge is almost complete.

Currently workers are busy installing parapet walls that are expected to be completed next week.

A few days ago zinc has been removed LRT cover work along the Ampera Bridge.

"Currently the work is in accordance with projections, and hopefully not many obstacles in the future so that it can fit the target," he said.

Development of LRT Palembang has been started since the end of 2015 to support the needs of the city as host of the Asian Games XVIII 2018.

The Rp10.9 trillion project is focusing on 13 stations as well as pedestrian bridges and railway tracks to be tested in February 2018.
