INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - Indonesian Welding Society (API-IWS) noted that Indonesia currently needs at least 5,000 welding experts each year. This is to meet the needs of human resources in the national manufacturing industry.

To meet that need, the Center for Materials and Technical Products (B4T) Bandung, one of the research and development institutions of the Ministry of Industry, provides vocational education and training in the welding field.

Head of B4T Budi Susanto said, this welding training is one effort to answer the challenges of the industrial world that requires skilled and professional workforce.

The development of science and technology required by the manufacturing industry today demands our workforce to master manufacturing activities that can achieve a high level of effectiveness and efficiency. "Including in the field of welding," he said, through his official statement on Monday (13/11/2017).

Budi explained, B4T graduates receive internationally recognized certificates. He mentioned that graduates of welding experts from B4T have been widely accepted to work in the countries of the Middle East, South Africa, Europe, United States, Malaysia, Brunei and Japan.

To date, through vocational education and training, B4T has produced at least 4,600 welders with a wide range of skill qualifications.
