Jakarta-Surabaya Toll Road Expected to Operate Lebaran 2018

INDUSTRY.co.id - Lebak - Good news for travelers from Jakarta to Surabaya in the upcoming Lebaran season 2018. Because the Jakarta-Surabaya toll road can be crossed.

"We appreciate the hard work of Minister of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) Basuki Hadimuljono can realize the Jakarta-Surabaya toll road," said Minister of Transportation Budi Karya Sumadi when inaugurated the house of Citra Maja Raya in Lebak Regency, Banten, Saturday (18/11/2017 ).

 During this time, Minister Basuki worked hard to build infrastructure. In accordance with the direction of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) who wants to focus on polishing the infrastructure so that the regional economy can sped and facilitate people's access, especially during Lebaran.

Jakarta-Surabaya toll road is expected to be operated in Lebaran 2018. Furthermore, the government will build Surabaya-Banyuwangi toll road in 2019. "We believe that the Jakarta-Surabaya toll road can mobilize the economic growth of large enough people," said Budi.

Budi said that the successful work of PUPR minister worthy of appreciation is the operation of Bekasi-Cawang-Kampung Melayu or Becakayu toll road. In fact, this project mangkarak up to a dozen years.

Minister PUPR Basuki Hadimuljono said the central government, Banten provincial government and Lebak regency agreed to build an integrated city. Where, Maja became one of the new cities developed with 10 other cities in Indonesia.

This city, Basuki said, could become an independent city in the future and is expected to accommodate 1.2 million citizens of Jakarta to Citra Maja Raya.

To develop this integrated city, there will also be development including Maja station and there will be Serpong-Balaraja toll road development which will be developed by private party as supporting of integrated city.
