INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - CEO & Founder of GO-JEK, Nadiem Makarim revealed that the company is currently building a cashless culture to optimize GO-PAY photography.
"The mission of GO-JEK that is ready to expand GO-PAY to be used outside the Go-Jek ecosystem Through Go-Pay we can purchase tolls, pay driver services, buy food, show tickets, and other services available in the app Go-Jek, "said Nadiem at GO-JEK Office, Jakarta, Wednesday (22/11/2017).
He asserted, in 2018 GO-JEK will enhance the massive GO-PAY service which he believes will be "the year of GO-PAY".
"This mission is in line with GO-JEK's desire to provide financial inclusion for all Indonesians, including providing digital payments for people without bank accounts," he explained.
As information, GO-PAY users themselves are now more than 50 percent of total GO-JEK users. "Therefore, the company wants to expand the digital payment service made by GO-JEK to be used more widely," said Nadiem.
Furthermore, Nadiem revealed, GO-JEK through GO-PAY has a role as a bridge to accelerate financial inclusion for banks and other financial services institutions to the public, especially those who do not have a bank account.
According to Nadiem, to encourage financial inclusion in Indonesia, electronic payment is an important key. "With electronic payments related to daily needs, public trust, especially those who do not have a bank account on financial services can increase," he concluded.
