Indonesia Expected to Be Halal Producers in Their Own Country

INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - Bank Indonesia (BI) encourages industries to improve sharia and halal products. The impetus is due to the large market of Indonesia market.

Head of the Department of Economics and Islamic Finance of Bank Indonesia Muhammad Anwar Bashori revealed, the impetus is so that the culinary industry and services sensitive to the Indonesian market is so large Muslim-dominated.

"We have halal actually but still Up to God, but live hygiene and marketing for the world," he said in Jakarta, Wednesday (22/11/2017).

Anwar rate, the omission of a product in Indonesia also entered the world of tourism. Indonesia has developed special areas of Islamic tourism such as West Nusa Tenggara, especially in Lombok.

"The new Islamic financial literacy is 8%, Indonesia has 220 million muslim population need fashion, travel, ideally move as big market and supplier, do not get the production from other countries," he said.

In addition, Anwar revealed Bali island is also needed a halal tour. This is to bridge the needs of Muslim communities who need halal food and sharia hotels.

"Tourism is good and in Bali there is a halal hotel, it can open sharia economy market and add market," he said.
