Toll Access Towards KEK Tanjung Lesung Opened Gradually Start 2019

INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - Toll Road Serang-Panimbang is one of the National Strategic Project (PSN). This toll road will support the transportation flow of vehicles to and from the direction of Special Economic Zone (KEK) Tanjung Lesung.

PT Wika Serang Panimbang (WSP), a subsidiary of PT Wijaya Karya (Persero) Tbk, which targets the Serang-Panimbang Toll Road project, targets toll road operations starting in early 2019.

Currently, 785 hectares of land acquisition is still underway. WSP itself plans to start construction in December 2017, after at least five villages have been free and paid.

"Perhaps early 2019 (already operational gradually) in the first segment of Serang-Cikeusal," said President Director of PT WSP Entus Asnawi to media crew in Jakarta, recently.

In this 83.7-kilometer designed project, WSP only gets to work on the 50.7 kilometer toll road. While the rest, will be tilled with government costs with the Availability Payment scheme (AP).

Entus hopes the government can immediately complete the auction and start construction work. Thus, the project can be completed in less time.

"2019 end, hopefully (fully operational)," he said.
