President Jokowi Inaugurated Silangit International Airport Terminal

INDUSTRY.co.id - Silangit - President Joko Widodo is scheduled to inaugurate Silangit International Airport Terminal in Siborong-borong, North Tapanuli regency, North Sumatra, on Friday.

"The president of this day is scheduled to inaugurate Silangit Airport which is now able to serve international flights after the previous domestic," said Minister of Transportation Budi Karya Sumadi in Silangit, Friday (24/11/2017)

According to him, all preparations such as expansion and completeness in accordance with international standards are already completed at the airport, so now it can be landed by aircraft from abroad, especially Singapore.

In the inauguration, President Jokowi who was accompanied by a number of ministers will tour the airport terminal.

A number of ministers were already in Silangit before President Joko Widodo was present, besides Minister of Transportation Budi Karya as well as SOE Minister Rini Soemarno and Tourism Minister Arief Yahya.

Silangit Airport with a capacity of 500,000 passengers per year is equipped with facilities CIQ (Customs, Immigration and Quarantine), runway 2,650 x 30 meters, and PCN (hardness level foundation) that can accommodate aircraft narrow-bodied type Airbus A320 and Boeing 737-800.

Silangit Airport also implements smart airport features with digital technology, including free wi-fi, bus and flight schedule, electronic payment (e-payment), bus ticketing machine, tourist information, self check -in), and various digital features.
