INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - National businessman Rachmat Gobel is partnering with leading Japanese cake and bakery producer Chateraise to enter the Indonesian market with the long-term goal of building a quality food industry for both domestic and export consumption.

On the sidelines of the opening of Chateraise's first outlet in Indonesia located in Senayan City, Jakarta, Rachmat Gobel said that he is interested in working with Chateraise because it has a business philosophy that is in line with Gobel Group's business philosophy of building a business by empowering the potential of local raw materials from farmers .

"We have a lot of local raw materials, agricultural products that can be the raw material of Chateraise cake and bread, such as chocolate, vanilla, mango, strawberry, and others," said former Vice Chairman of Indonesian Industry Chamber of Commerce.

Admittedly, at this time all products are marketed in Senayan City is still imported. But on some cakes that there are decorations on it began to use fruits from Indonesia such as mango and strawberry.

"For drinks, we use coffee from Indonesia," said Rachmat Gobel who took his friends to form a joint venture PT Chateraise Gobel Indonesia.

At the company, Rachmat Gobel together with his friends owns a 40 percent stake while Chateraise Holding Co Ltd is 60 percent.
