Encouraging Small Enterprise Partnership in IPMI International Business School Campus, Kalibata, South Jakarta, Tuesday (28/11/2017).
INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta -The government should encourage partnerships between large-scale enterprises with cooperatives and Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) to accelerate the empowerment program. Because, until now UMKM still has a number of obstacles both in terms of financing and expand its business.
Secretary General of the Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs Agus Muharram said the business partnership should be sustainable built so that it can grow together. Creation of a just national economy will be accelerated through the realization of a sustainable business partnership.
"However, intensive supervision is needed to make the partnership work as expected," Agus said in a discussion entitled "Encouraging Small Business Partnership" at IPMI International Business School Campus, Kalibata, South Jakarta, Tuesday (28/11/2017).
For that, continued Agus, in December 2016 ago, the Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs together with the Business Competition Supervisory Commission (KPPU) formed a Task Force (Satgas) Partnership of SMEs.
KPPU is fully committed to give maximum contribution in supervising the partnership that is built. Through its role and function in supervision of partnership of cooperatives and UMKM with big business actors, KPPU is believed to be able to minimize national economic inequality.
Commissioner of the Business Competition Supervisory Commission (KPPU), Saidah Sakwan, revealed that his party keeps inventorying the number of industries that have made business partnerships. Because, up to now based on BPS data, small companies that have established partnerships are still about 20% of the total industry in the country.
"Therefore, the duties of KPPU and the Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs are heavy because they are targeted to increase the number of large-scale business partnerships, in accordance with the mandate of Law no. 20 of 2008 and Government Regulation (PP) no. 17 of 2013, "said Saidah.
Furthermore, according to Saidah, his side has formulated various policy instruments in internal KPPU in order to accelerate the ideal small-scale business partnership. One of them, is the Commission Regulation (Perkom) of Partnership and Perkom on Supervision of Win-win Solutions for Case Handling.
"Thus, MSMEs get a clear legal protection when subjected to unfair treatment or exploitation of large business actors. Because, in fact the purpose of the partnership itself is to do coaching rather than exploitation of large companies against small businesses, "she explained.
While Dean of IPMI International Business School Prof. Roy Sembel rate, the model of partnership foster father can lift the productivity of SMEs. Small business actors can also enjoy the supply chain and value chain of large business groups in Indonesia.
"Today business is no longer a single entity. Big business should be able to raise small business with partnership. Banking, for example, can hold small businesses to help branchless banking services, "he said.
In this partnership program, Roy Sembel reminded, big business should be more focus on sustainable partnership pattern and able to improve the performance of SMEs in order to develop into a highly competitive business. "If the partnership is more charity, then big business will not focus on building SMEs," he concluded.
