INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - PT Jasa Marga (Persero) will raise tariffs on five toll roads under its management on December 8, 2017 tomorrow. The increase in these five toll roads varies from 6.7% to 10%.
"The tariff increase of five segments is in accordance with the Decree of the Minister of Public Works and People's Housing (PUPR) as stipulated in Law No. 38 of 2004 Article 48 paragraph 3 on Toll Road," said Jasa Marga Corporate Secretary Agus Setiawan in Jakarta, Wednesday / 12/2017).
The five toll roads whose tariffs will be raised are the first, Cawang-Tomang-Pluit and Cawang-Tanjung Priok-East Ancol-Three Bridge / Pluit. Secondly, Surabaya-Gempol Toll Road; third, Belawan-Medan-Tanjung Morawa Toll Road; fourth Palimanan-Kanci Toll and fifth Semarang Toll Road (Section A, B, C).
"The adjustment and evaluation of toll tariffs every two years is based on the old tariff adjusted to the inflation rate," said Agus.
Agus said that the calculation of toll road tariff proposals is done by Toll Road Enterprises (BUJT) and evaluated BPJT based on inflation data from the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) in the last two years. "An example of the increase for the Jakarta Inner City Toll for the 1st class that was previously Rp9,000 to Rp9,500," said Agus.
However, for some segments which, after calculating the inflation component, turns out to be incomplete rounding to Rp500, or the rest will not be raised. "For example for the Semarang ABC segment, it does not go up but on the next two years rise, the footing will increase from that number," Agus said.
He acknowledged with approval of the increase, then indirectly, the five sections of the Minimum Service Standard (SPM), has been fulfilled. "We will continue to provide the best service by meeting SPM criteria starting from toll road conditions, average travel speed, accessibility, safety mobility, rescue / rescue units and service assistance," Agus said.
