Logistic Industry Efficiency, TPK Koja Container Flows Exceed Target

INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - Koja Container Terminal (TPK) Koja, Jakarta recorded container flows from both international and domestic voyages (throughput) until the first week of December 2017 exceeded the target exceeding one million Teus.
"Up to the end of this year, TPK Koja management estimates total throughput to reach 1.095 million TEUs, or 31 percent exceeded the initial target of 2017 set by 830,531 TEUS.", TPK General Manager Koja Ade Hartono said in Jakarta on Sunday (10/12/2017)
According to Ade Hartono, this achievement is a monumental achievement for TPK Koja. This proves the hard work of management and all the workers to produce fruitful results.
The estimated throughput by the end of this year of 1.095 million TEU also increased 32 percent from 2016 by 827.198 Teus.
In addition, continued TPK General Manager Koja Ade Hartono, throughput results in excess of one million TEUs are also intended to support government programs to realize cost-efficient logistics in order to spur national economic growth.
In the future, Ade explained, this result will be a reference for the company to move "We must continue to make improvements to maintain this achievement, especially to improve service quality and repair of supporting facilities," he added.
"TPK Koja will continue to focus on volume growth, profit growth, and the creation of new services that support key business services, such as integrating transhipment services," he said.
In addition to achieving a throughput of more than one million Teus, this year TPK Koja also recorded other achievements, such as the increase of Box Crane per Hour (BCH), migration from ISO 9001: 2008 to ISO 9001: 2015, and the implementation of Good Corporate Governance GCG) is best.
TPK Corporate Secretary Koja Nuryono Arief explained that the container loading and unloading ratio from the Koja TPK vessel per hour (BCH) as of September 2017 has reached 23 boxes per hour, up from the same period last year which was only 20 boxes per hour.
TPK Koja, Arief said, has also started migrating from ISO 9001: 2008 to ISO 9001: 2015, marked by the receipt of ISO 9001: 2015 certificate in April 2017. And at the end of October 2017, TPK Koja is still declared worthy of ISO 9001: 2015 certificate after an independent audit.
