JICT Appoints New RTGC Operator to Increase Productivity

INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - PT Jakarta International Container Terminal (JICT) appointed PT Multi Tally Indonesia (MTI) as a supplier of RTGC (Rubber Tired Gantry Crane) in this container terminal to improve service productivity and job security.
Vice President Director of JICT Riza Erivan in Jakarta, Wednesday (13/12/2017) said MTI Appointment which started working as of 1 January 2018 as new supplier replaces PT EMCO Trans Logistik (EMCO) has been through open tender process, transparent and standard applicable at JICT.
"Instead of changing our RTGC operators to improve productivity and job security at JICT, this is common in business and let's all work harder to improve the quality of service so that JICT can contribute more to the country," Riza explained.
Riza believes that the turnover of this RTGC supplier will have a positive impact on JICT and customers.
According to him, the appointment of MTI is also based on the quality standards of human resources owned, in which operators who will run RTGC already have valid operator license certificate (SIO).
The operator working on MTI is partly a former employee of PT EMCO.
"As time goes by the operators who work at JICT will have the capability and qualities that qualified. When PT EMCO entered a year ago, their workers also do not have much experience," said Riza.
As part of JICT's commitment to improving service quality and opening trade access to and leaving Indonesia, the company has just released a new service called KCS Service (Korea-China-South Asia).
Service with the 4,300 TEUs of MV Navios Amarnth ship will route the intra-Asia destinations of Dalian - Cingang - Lianyunggang - Kwangyang - Pusan - Shanghai - Nansha - Singapore - Portklang - Jakarta - Surabaya - Manila-Dalian.
KCS Service Service with French shipping company operator CMA CGM has regular weekly schedules at JICT terminal.
Previously JICT and CMA-CGM have established cooperation through shipping services such as SEANE Service, JAX, Chin-1, and CSJ service.
"As the largest container terminal in Indonesia, JICT will continue to improve our service standards to our customers through an expanding network, Indonesian entrepreneurs can also open new markets more efficiently," Riza said.
