INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - Indosat Ooredoo, again presents new digital innovations created by young Indonesian talents through the 11th Indosat Ooredoo Wireless Innovation Contest (IWIC 11).
Since the opening of this competition at the end of September, IWIC 11 with the theme "Digital Nation", has received more than 3,000 works of ideas and applications from 4 categories that are competed. Not only from Indonesia, this year's event is also followed by participants from Vietnam, South Korea, India, Philippines, Singapore, and even Kenya.
Indosat Ooredoo's President Director and CEO Joy Wahjudi said Indosat Ooredoo is committed to supporting the digital economy plan to make Indonesia the largest digital power economy in Southeast Asia by 2020.

This year's IWIC which is part of the 50th anniversary of Indosat Ooredoo, has been through a series of activities such as roadshows to various communities, APIorningang is a forum of knowledge sharing among developers community of Indonesia and global related Application Programming Interface (API), the implementation of Hackathondengan challenge of building creative applications in 24 hours, up to 24 Finalists to join the Boot Camp at Indosat Ooredoo Jakarta Headquarters for 2 days before reaching the peak of the Grand Final.
The new innovation in IWIC 11 program is the opening of developer community access to Indosat Ooredoo API since Hackathon IWIC 11. Hundreds of IWIC 11 Hackathon participants have successfully integrated their application into 9 API Indosat Ooredoo which enables the application to interact more quickly with customers.
IWIC which has been "go global" since last year is the implementation of Indosat Ooredoo Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program through the pillars of Education and Innovation, which aims to grow and discover new interests of the young generation in the digital world, while meeting the needs of Indonesia digital talent with the high trend of mobile app usage.
In addition, IWIC also wants to align the young Indonesian talents with global players in creating digital innovations to make life easier for the people. IWIC winners receive exciting prizes including cash totaling hundreds of millions of rupiah and opportunities to visit global companies.
