IPC Terminal Petikemas and Prima Indonesia Agree to Establish Joint Venture Company

INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - PT IPC Terminal Petikemas and PT Prima Indonesia Logistics signed an agreement to create a joint venture to develop and manage and operate the Container Terminal in Batu Ampar, Batam.
"Pelindo hopes to operate one container service facility professionally and reliably so as to connect the domestic and international trade in an integrated manner. That is to encourage economic growth and national logistics, "said M Adji, Director of PT IPC Terminal Petikemas, in Jakarta, Friday (22/12/2017).
PT IPC Terminal Petikemas, which is a subsidiary of Pelindo II, is tasked to manage and operate several container terminals within Pelindo II. Among them in Branch Pelabuhan Panjang, Palembang, Jambi, Bayur Bay, Pontianak and handle activities in the area of Common Gate, Kalibaru Port of Tanjung Priok.
PT IPC Terminal Petikemas is one of the majority shareholder of NPCT1 (New Priok Container Terminal) company operating since August 2016.
PT Prima Indonesia Logistik is a subsidiary of PT Pelabuhan Indonesia I (Persero) which is a separation from Belawan Logistic Center in 2014. The Company has a license to operate the Multi-Moda Transport Agency (BUAM).
Currently, PT Prima Indonesia Logistics manages a 17 hectare container depot in Belawan. In addition, the company also expanded its business through cooperative operations with branches of Pelindo I, namely in Dumai, Pekanbaru, Tanjung Pinang and BICT (Belawan International Container Terminal)
PT Prima Indonesia Logistics cooperates to manage depot in Palembang. Selan, with PT Kawasan Industri Medan, the company cooperates to handle container loading and unloading activities in Belawan. The Company also cooperates to manage dry port at Sei Mangke with PT Kereta Api Logistik. (Abraham Sihombing)
