INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - In order to boost national industry productivity, the Ministry of Industry conducts the implementation of vocational education programs that link and match between Vocational High School and industry, and 3in1 system-based training program.
This effort is expected to create a competent workforce according to the needs of the industry today.
Then, in the midst of the development of the digital era, the Ministry of Industry encourages a number of national industries to apply the working system of Industry 4.0. Manufacturing sector that has been ready to apply, including the automotive industry, electronics, and food and beverages.
The Minister of Airlangga Hartarto on one recent occasion confirmed that the implementation of technology in the current 4th industrial revolution phase will not replace or reduce the role of human labor, but can encourage their increased competence to understand the use of the latest technology in the industry.
"People do not have to worry about the development of Industry 4.0 because it can add new job opportunities," he said.
Meanwhile, to Industry.co.id Vice Chairman of Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) of Industry Johnny Darmawan revealed, the manufacturing industry is not limited to the establishment and operation of a factory.
Johny said, there are many other important elements that need to be considered simultaneously and thoroughly, ranging from the availability of raw materials that must be prepared in a sustainable manner.
In addition, human resources are also important factors of production that must continually be developed competence, not just work, but understand what is done and even to the level of enjoying what is done.
"If the stages can be aroused with clear targets and projections, Kadin Indonesia believes the revival of the industry will be a real thing, reflected through the increasingly optimal sectoral contribution to national economic development," he explained.
Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) noted, Non-oil and gas processing industry still gives the largest contribution to the national Gross Domestic Product (GDP) in the third quarter of 2017 by reaching 17.76 percent. This contribution is higher than other sectors.
Meanwhile, the growth of non-oil / gas processing industry in quarter III / 2017 amounted to 5.49 percent or above from economic growth of 5.06 percent.
