INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - The government through the Ministry of Religious Affairs plans to set a minimum limit on Umrah's costs next year. It aims to create a healthy competition between travel agents Umrah.

Director General of Hajj and Umrah Implementation of the Ministry of Religious Affairs Nizar Ali said it would soon set a minimum limit on Umrah's cost next year of Rp20 million. Nevertheless, the legal basis for determining the tariff limits of umrah can not be established because it is still in discussion stage along with travel and umrah associations

But he made sure the decision will be set at the beginning of next year. Of course, the stipulation is based on the regulation of the Minister of Religious Affairs after discussion and exposure to the minister of religion.

"If baseball is determined, there is no healthy competition, there is a set Rp14 million, Rp16 million, it means they reduce the standard," he said in Jakarta, Friday (22/12/2017).

Nizar further said the price limit of Rp 20 million is calculated based on minimum service standards that have been set. Starting from airline tickets, hotel rates, transportation, service charge, visa, passport and some other indicators.

"Ticketing, hotel, transportation, service charge, visa, passport and etc. It's minimal, if below 20 million it means there are substandard components," he explained

Nizar later if the rules have been established then it will crack down on the travel party that still provides travel prices under Rp 20 million. The sanctions given, he added, are verbal, written warnings, freezing permits until revocation of permits.

"Yes, there is a promo we can directly verify why we can make the price so we see the components, if below standard means baseball worthy means not to do that unless there is verification possible," he explained.

Cooperation enforcement was done with the Criminal Investigation Agency (Bareskrim) Police Headquarters through various complaints. In addition, it also identifies complaints through the Crisis Center team.
