Improve Logistics Industry, Sriwijaya Air Operates in Southeast Maluku

INDUSTRY.co.id - Langgur- Sriwijaya Air will officially operate its aircraft to serve flights to and from Southeast Maluku Regency (Malra), starting from December 27, 2017.
"It is certain that Sriwijaya Air tomorrow will be the first landing at Karel Sadsuitubun Malra Airport, after the airline has fulfilled all the administration and we have received our letter of appreciation also for the Head of Airport who took care of the administration," said Sriwijaya Air representative Baltazar Erens Nussy Langgur, Tuesday (26/12/2017)
According to him, the inaugural flight will be made from Makassar, South Sulawesi to Langgur, the capital of Malra, round trip (PP).
The route of Sultan Hasanuddin International Airport (Makassar) to Karel Sadsuitubun PP airport is scheduled every Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
"If later the demand turns out a lot and the service goes well, we can improve so every day," said Baltazar.
He also said that the flight from and to Langgur is a form of support for the government's program that is developing the tourism sector in Indonesia.
"We have been looking at Langgur for a long time since it has a lot of natural beauty, maritime and cultural attractions as well as adding to the list of Sriwijaya Air Group tourist destinations, this route is expected to boost the number of tourist arrivals in Indonesia, especially in Southeast Maluku," he said.
Makassar-Langgur PP flight schedule departs from Makassar at 03.00 WITA and arrives at Langgur at 06.25 WIT. The reverse route is to depart from Langgur at 07.15 WIT and arrive in Makassar at 08.35 WITA.
The route is connected with flights to Jakarta, Surabaya, Jogjakarta, Bali, Balikpapan, Banjarmasin, Berau, Kendari, Medan, Luwuk, Palembang, Bangka, Belitung, and Semarang.
The first flight of Makassar-Langgur route will be served by Boeing 737 500 fleet which has a capacity of 120 seats and consists of two types of classes. For the executive class there are eight seats while the other 112 seats are economy class.
"Regarding the price, we have a price construction because we have a soft classy system (there are several classes) .The economy class is the lowest price of Rp685,000 and the highest price is Rp2.2 million, the business class is Rp 2.3 million to Rp 2.6 million, "Baltazar said.
For the inaugural flight, he continued, tickets sold Rp927.000 and had risen to Rp1, 4 to Rp1, 5 million due to high demand.
"We are quite satisfied with the enthusiasm of today's society, the response is very positive, even the people want us to add new route that is Langgur-Ambon PP, and Langgur-Timika (Papua) PP It takes process, but we still accommodate people's aspirations," Baltazar.
