INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - After experiencing disturbance of distribution, now industrial gas supply in North Sumatra (Sumut) which was interrupted several weeks ago will begin to normal again.
This was revealed in the outcome of DPD RI meeting represented by Chairman of Committee II, Parlindungan Purba with SKK Oil Migas represented by Head of MMG Division, Waras Budi Santoso in DPD RI Chair Room, Parliament Complex Senayan, Jakarta (28/12/2017).
Parlindungan Purba said, in North Sumatra currently experiencing a reduction in gas supply that affects the industrial sector, especially in the industrial area of Medan (KIM) II. As a result many hundreds of factory workers are threatened laid off. Therefore he asked that the government to immediately overcome the gas problem in North Sumatra.
"DPD RI asks the government through the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources and gas operators to supply gas in the region of North Sumatra on December 29, 2017 gas supply in North Sumatra is normal," he said.
He also hopes that the handling of gas issues in North Sumatra is done through an integrated coordination between institutions and related institutions. The goal for future gas management in North Sumatra is not back problem.
Furthermore, he suggested that the government should a masterplan gas energy in North Sumatra so that incidents like this do not happen again.
"The government must prepare an industrial gas masterplan in North Sumatra involving all relevant stakeholders, especially Pertamina Gas and PGN," he said.
And to immediately solve the gas problem in North Sumatra, Parlindungan Purba will hold a meeting at PT Perta Arun Gas Aceh to know the development of gas flow for North Sumatra.
Meanwhile, Director of Development of Oil and Gas Program of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, Budiyantono explained, the problem of gas scarcity is not only in the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources but also related Ministries and agencies and user industries. "Because after all we have to see from the users as well," he explained.
According to him there are several aspects that affect the policy of gas prices in Indonesia. First there is the assignment, lifting, certain industries, electricity, and other industries. "So the five factors also affect the price," said Budiyantono.
