Growth Target of Non Oil and Gas Industry in Year of Land Dog

INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - Minister of Industry Airlangga Hartarto said the performance of non-oil and gas industry continues to show improvement from year to year.
Such improvements, he said, were reflected in the achievements of Indonesia that made it into the top 10 of the world's manufacturing industry versions of UNINDO as well as an increase in the global competitiveness index from previous positions 41 to 36.
"I am optimistic that the Indonesian industry will be able to grow even higher, and we are optimistic that we are targeting growth of 5.67% in 2018 for non-oil industry growth," said Minister of Industry Airlangga Hartarto.
And to achieve the growth target, in 2018, it (the Ministry of Industry - ed) will encourage the development of industries in the basic metals, food and beverage sector, transportation equipment, machinery and equipment, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, and electronics.
The sector, he said, is a sector of high economic growth, a sector that will lift world growth as the world has revised growth as it is based on developing the sector.
"We concentrate on global value chain that is electronics, automotive, food and beverage into products that we will develop in Asia," he told Industry.co.id, in Jakarta, Monday (1/1/2018)
Currently, Airlangga said, Indonesia sees the regional industry where we are investing to various countries in ASEAN.
