INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - To expand the market, PT Panca Budi Idaman Tbk (PBID) plans to build a plastic factory in eastern Indonesia.
President Director of PT Panca Budi Idaman, Djonny Taslim said, the market share in eastern Indonesia is quite good.
"We are planning to establish a new factory with a production capacity of 27 tons per year," Djonny told reporters in Jakarta on Tuesday (2/1/2018).
Construction of the plant is done to increase plastic production this year. In addition, to support plastic supplies to the eastern part of Indonesia.
"We projected 2018 to increase the capacity to build one factory, about 27 thousand kilograms per year, so the 27,000 kilograms was for the market development towards the eastern part, and to cover the outgoing work costs," said Djonny.
Djonny said, one of the challenges of marketing products in eastern Indonesia is the cost of distribution is quite large. However, the company will conduct a direct distribution process so that distribution costs can be suppressed. "Because we market ourselves, because we are strong in retail," he said.
Currently, Panca Budi Idaman is exploring the right location to build a plastic factory which is targeted to start production in 2019.
"Now we are still exploring, but our prediction is in central part of Java If we want to projection and according to our prediction, this year start, next year production start 2019," said Djonny. (imq)
