Support the Logistics Industry, Pelni Launches Application for Booking and Cargo Tracking

INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - PT Pelni (Persero) launched the "Pelni Logistics" mobile app for cargo ordering and tracking to facilitate cargo shipments that can be downloaded on PlayStore for Android users.

Director of Maritime Goods and Toll Transport Business Pelni Harry Boediarto in a press conference launching the application in Jakarta, Thursday (4/1/2017) said the purpose of launching the mobile app is to facilitate consumers.

"Now the digital era, and for modern online-based services for ships and goods, we have to get there," he said.

Harry explained the application is a company's efforts to facilitate customers in the delivery of goods.

The mobile application is also expected to increase the company's revenue, improve the accuracy of the receipt of money and encourage the image of the company as a provider of cargo / container delivery services.

With the application, the goods owner can place a faster container order and can track the arrival of the shipment.

For the initial phase, mobile reservation and cargo tracking applications will serve three vessels and 12 port cities passing Pelni passenger ships.

The number will increase with the target on 28 April to reach 26 Pelni passenger ships and 96 port cities in its path.

The procedure of using the application, namely by entering the number of containers to be ordered. Then, it will show the available ship schedule as well as the required cost.

At the end of the order, the application will automatically send the booking code (e-mail) to the subscriber for further live make payments via ATM.

The owner of the goods can also find out the position (tracking) goods. In addition through the application, can also be accessed through pelnilogistics.co.id site.
