PT Jasa Marga Targets 175 New Toll Roads

INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - PT Jasa Marga Tbk targets to operate new toll roads through its subsidiaries this year of approximately 175 kilometers (km).

"Yes, about 175 km of new toll roads until the end of this year, outside of the Solo-Ngawi segment along 90.17 km and Ngawi-Kertosono 49.5 km, both segments should be completed last year," said Director of Jasa Marga Desi Arryani in Jakarta, Sunday (7/1/2017)

Toll Ngawi-Kertosono itself is 87 km long, divided into four sections and some 37.5 km of construction using APBN funds and 49.5 km built by PT Ngawi Kertosono Jaya (NKJ), which is majority owned by PT Jasa Marga.

Thus, Desi said, the total concessions owned by the state-owned toll roads until the end of this year is estimated to reach about 1500 km, or exactly 1.496 km.

"Of that number, the already operating is about 700 km and the rest is in the process of completion of construction and spread throughout Indonesia, especially in Java," she said.

In relation to which toll road will be operated until it reaches the additional new toll of 175 km, Desi has not elaborated because everything is in process.

Previously, after attending the Ngawi-Kertosono Toll Road Festival at the Madiun toll gate (6/1), Desi also explained that the two toll road sections (Solo-Ngawi and Ngawi-Kertosono) are part of the Trans Java Toll targeted for completion later this year.

"After the Trans Java is completed, we are also able to increase the scope of new toll work according to the demand of East Java society," said Desi.

Desi said, the additional scope of new work include Toll Kediri-Kertosono traffic is also crowded.

"In addition, Situbondo-Probolinggo-Lumajang segment Yes, the discourse like that. It is good if there is a toll road between Probolinggo-Banyuwangi along 170 km," she said.

The tariff per kilometer per kilometer when operated around Rp1,200-1,300 for one class vehicle.

The presence of Toll Ngawi-Kertosono assessed will increase the efficiency of the cost of distribution of goods and services as well as an impact on the improvement of the economy.

Toll Ngawi-Kertosono has three Toll Gate (GT) which implements a closed transaction system and payment of electronic or non-cash tolls. The three GTs are located in Toll Road Ngawi-Kertosono namely GT Madiun, GT Caruban, and GT Nganjuk.

Meanwhile, for Solo-Ngawi Toll the progress of construction has been more than 90 percent.

The work that is being done is the completion of the overpass. Of the 61 undertaken, 23 were immediately completed, especially those close to the settlements.
