Soetta Airport Passenger Throughout 2017 Reach 63 Million

INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - PT Angkasa Pura II (Persero) through the Main Branch Office of Soekarno-Hatta International Airport recorded the number of passengers throughout 2017 reached 63,015,620 people who arrived and departed at the airport.
Executive General Manager of Soekarno-Hatta International Airport Main Office, M. Suriawan Wakan, in his official statement in Jakarta, Sunday (7/1/2017) explained that the figure increased 8 percent compared to 2016 which only reached 58,195,484 passengers.
"The sharpest spike occurred on international route passengers that reached 12 percent when compared to 2016," said Wakan.
There are also international passengers in 2016 recorded as many as 13,131,035 passengers, while in 2017 reached 14,718,973 passengers.
Meanwhile, domestic passengers increased by 7 percent. In 2016, the number of passengers as many as 45,064,449 passengers, while in 2017 penetrate 48,295,647 passengers.
In line with the number of passengers, the total movement of aircraft has increased dramatically to 8 percent from 413,781 movements in 2016 to 447,390 movements in 2017.
According to Wakan, the increase in passengers occurred because PT Angkasa Pura (Persero) continues to cooperate with airlines and the Ministry of Tourism. In addition, AP II improves operations and services at the largest and busiest airport in Indonesia.
Soekarno-Hatta Airport has prepared operational infrastructure with teristem, either from the side of the air, or from the side of the land, and the terminal is certainly supported by competent human resources.
"This is because along with the implementation of smart airport program that continues to be sustainable, thus making the efficiency and operational effectiveness is increasing," said Wakan.
He added that the development of Soekarno-Hatta International Airport is also done massively, such as revitalization of Terminal 1, 2 and Terminal 3 development.
