Minister Rini Visits Project Makassar New Port

INDUSTRY.co.id - Makassar - SOE Minister Rini Soemarno reviewed the Makassar New Port project (MNP) which is now entering the completion of the first phase.

"Our presence here to see the progress of MNP development in Makassar," said Rini after review MNP in Makassar on Monday (15/1/2018)

She said, from the results of the review, it believes the project can be completed in October 2018 from the previous schedule end of 2018.

The first phase of MNP development uses Rp1.5 trillion of funding with three years of project construction since 2015. Of the total funding of the first phase, the Head of the MNP Project Management Unit Arwin said the absorption of funds was 50 percent and the calculation result in the project development field was completed in October 2018.

Meanwhile, Rini said the development of NPM aims to support President Jokowi's toll booth concept that requires a reliable and efficient port.

With the completion of the MNP project in the future it will produce a 320 meter wharf and container 16 hectare area.

This NPM is considered very important in order to strengthen the national logistics system and improve inter island connectivity in Indonesia.

The presence of SOE minister in Makassar besides reviewing MNP project is also scheduled to review the project of Bayu Power Plant (PLTB) in Sidrap Regency. (Ant)
