INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - The Indonesian Construction Contractor Association (Gapensi) is optimistic that the growth of the construction industry will be better than 2017.
"The construction sector will not affect the political year, we will actually grow better than the previous year," said Secretary General of Gapensi Central Board, Andi Rukman Karumpa in Jakarta, Monday (15/1/2018).
According to Andi, the improvement of 2018 construction market is precisely triggered by political factors namely the election of President (Presidential Election) and election of Regional Head (Pilkada).
"The government should not only strengthen its budget, but it must accelerate the realization of 2018 economic growth," he explained.
Another factor, continued Andi, the construction market can be strengthened by the growth of property investment.
"The political year of mining investment, land and other concessions will wait and see, but property investments will be more stable next year," Andi said.
