E-Commerce Data Recording Targeted to be Done End of February

INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - The Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) targets the recording of preliminary electronic trading data or e-commerce to be completed by the end of February 2018.
Head of BPS Suhariyanto said, currently it is just beginning to record data to members of the Association of E-Commerce Indonesia (idEA) through a questionnaire delivered via electronic mail or e-mail.
"We are inviting friends of idEA to collect We love the awareness of the importance of e-commerce data. We wait until mid-February We expect the end of February is over," said the man who was familiarly called kecuk after the coordination meeting about e-commerce in Office of Coordinating Minister for Economy, Jakarta, Monday (15/1/2018)
Kecuk said that e-commerce data recording itself is related to electronic commerce including transactions, value and volume, merchant or seller, unique buyer, investment, payment method, labor and technology.
Records are separated by seven business models including marketplace and e-retail, travel and transportation, classified horizontal, classified vertical, specialty stores, daily deals. Meanwhile, the business model of logistics and payment itself is still delayed.
"There may be two that we set aside first, payment and logistics. We will try to concentrate to the seven platforms first," said kecuk as reported by Antara.
The time reference data collected is quarterly for the period 2015-2016 and monthly for the period 2017.
The data recording mechanism can be done online, through the questionnaire template submitted to each e-commerce actor via electronic mail. E-commerce actors can also submit data to the CPM with hardcopy that has been stamped company or softcopy questionnaire stuff according to the template to get involved in recording this data.
The collection of e-commerce data is in accordance with Law No. 16 of 1997 on Statistics. BPS also ensures that data submitted by respondents is guaranteed to be confidential with published data later in the form of aggregate data.
The reason for the implementation of data collection took place in January 2018 is for the value of transactions of the National Online Shopping Day (Harbolnas) in December 2017 can participate recorded.
The data will be collected, processed and analyzed directly by BPS with the publication of data targeted for completion by the end of February 2018.
The socialization of e-commerce data collection is the result of cooperation between the Coordinating Ministry of Economic Affairs with BPS supported by the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology, Ministry of Trade, and idEA as the association of e-Commerce Indonesia.
Through the socialization, the government expects the understanding, commitment, and cooperation with e-commerce entrepreneurs regarding the urgency and benefits of electronic data collection.
