INDUSTRY.co.id - Bakauheni - President Joko Widodo inaugurates Trans Sumatra Highway toll Bakauheni segment - Large Terbanggi segments Bakauheni Port - Simpang Susun Bakauheni and Lematang-Kotabaru segment in Bakauheni South Lampung, Sunday (21/1/2018)
Segment 1 Bakauheni Harbor - Simpang Susun Bakauheni along 8.9 km and Segment 5 Lematang-Kotabaru along 5.64 km, so the total of the total is 14.54 km inaugurated.
The construction of Segment I toll segment is done by PT PP (Persero) and the construction of segment 5 segment toll road is conducted by PT PT Waskita Karya (Persero) Tbk.
President Joko Widodo on the occasion said the inauguration of the toll road is also to encourage accessible in the implementation of Asian Games 2018.
"I encourage the toll roads from Bakauheni to Palembang to be completed before the Asian Games," he said.
He believes the construction of the toll road is timely although there are still problems such as land acquisition.

Joko Widodo on the occasion said that the construction of JTTS Bakauheni-Terbanggi Besar road along the 140.9 km cost about Rp16, 8 trillion.

"The benefits of the toll road will be felt by the people of Sumatra, especially Lampung," he explained.
In addition to the strategic project, he continued, in Lampung also built other projects, such as Waysekampung Dam that the process has reached 15 percent.
The government is also actively building other fundamental infrastructure such as ports, power plants, airports, roads and others.
"The infrastructure development will reduce logistics costs, so the goods will be cheap," he explained.
