INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - PT INKA (Persero) gets a contract to produce light rail transit rail (LRT) Jabodebek and Palembang. This proves if the domestic mass transportation products have gained confidence.

President Director of INKA Budi Noviantoro said LRT produced by INKA is the latest generation and more modern than LRT that already exist in other countries.

"LRT Jabodebek is the most modern, the latest, because he uses moving blocks, so automatic and need no machinists. This is most modern for LRT class, Indonesia may use the latest class," he said in Madiun, East Java, Friday (19 / 1/2018).

In addition, the maximum speed LRT made INKA can reach 120 km per hour. However, when operating later it is estimated the speed only reaches 70 km per hour because it must adjust the distance between stations.

"Designed can be up to 100 km per hour, but the distance is short, so 70 km per hour, but if you want to run a distance of 120 km per hour," he said.

Especially for LRT Jabodebek, if it has been operated later, the intermediate head way between LRT is only about 1.5 minutes. Thus there will be 30 LRT trips per hour.

"Because the head way is 1.5 minutes, so there should be no human error, this is the latest generation, because if the head way is smaller then the capacity is bigger, if the head way is 1.5 minutes, 30 train trips for one direction, "he said.
