The Minister of Industry Airlangga Appreciate PT RAPP that Participates and Creates Competent Human Resources Through Vocational Education

INDUSTRY.co.id - Pekanbaru - Minister of Industry (Menperin) Airlangga Hartarto appreciates Tonato Foundation and PT Riau Andalan Pulp and Paper (RAPP) which has supported efforts to provide competent Human Resource (HR) industry involving universities and vocational schools in Riau.


This is in line with the industrial vocational education program and the link and match policy of industrial HR that is being intensively driven by the government.

"Hopefully, Riau's industrial development needs of its human resources can mostly be met from local workers," said Airlangga Minister, during the signing of a cooperation agreement between the University of Riau with Tanoto Foundation and PT RAPP and Vocational High School (SMK) empowerment program at Unigraha Hotel , Pangkalan Kerinci, Sunday (21/1/2018).

According to him, the vocational program is in line with Presidential Instruction number 9 of 2016 on the revitalization of SMK in order to improve the quality and competitiveness of Indonesian human resources.

Signing MOU between the University of Riau, Tanoto Faundation, and PT RAPP is about the development of lecture facilities and supporting facilities Diploma 3 Program Chemical Pulp and Paper Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering, Riau University.

In addition, the signing of the MOU is also done by PT RAPP with SMK, which is in the form of educational equipment aid and empowerment of my human resources.

Minister of Airlangga hoped that the cooperation between the University of Riau with Tanoto Foundation / PT RAPP and the Vocational Empowerment Program can run well and become a step for PT RAPP to be more successful and give maximum contribution in the improvement of national social economy in general and Riau Province in particular.

"Once again I thank the company for supporting the domestic industry and participating in the success of the government program," said Airlangga.
