Minister of Transportation Budi Karya Invite Youth to Build Nation Together

INDUSTRY.co.id - Palembang - Minister of Transportation Budi Karya Sumadi invites youth to build all regions in Indonesia together. Therefore connectivity becomes a necessity for Indonesia to remain a Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI).

This was conveyed by the Minister of Transportation during his presentation at the XXX National Congress and the Member Consultative Assembly of XXIX of the Catholic Students Association of the Republic of Indonesia at Jakabaring Sport City Palembang on Monday (22/1/2018).

"Connectivity is the vision and mission of the President of the Republic of Indonesia because Indonesia consists of islands connected by the ocean, connected by a distance that is not close so that the connection between one area to another, a city to another become a mandate to us," said Minister of Transportation.

Minister of Transportation explained that the development is not only done in Java Island but also Indonesia-Centric.

"Indonesia centric is an effort to build and develop the whole country together so that all regions until the corners are given the opportunity, given the development. Ministry of Transportation has a vision but a vision of the President's mission whose name is connectivity.

Furthermore, the Minister of Transportation mentioned several construction of connectivity by Ministry of Transportation such as Light Rail Transit (LRT), Marine Tolerance program, and the construction of pioneer airport.

"For example, in Kota Palembang, there is LRT with high investment value, indicating LRT not only in Java but outside Java Island is also a priority," said Minister of Transportation.

"In addition, the Toll Sea program that brings goods from Java, Sulawesi, Maluku, Papua, and can reduce the price of 30-40% in eastern Indonesia. In addition, the construction of Pioneer Airport in Miangas that provides connectivity for the community there," added Minister of Transportation.

According to the Minister of Transportation, development is done to provide services to the community according to Nawa Cita.

"This is a concept of Nawa Cita, a project built is expected to provide good service to the people of Indonesia," said Minister of Transportation.
