Kokopi Cooperates with Tokopedia to Strengthen Indonesia's Coffee in the World

INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta, Indonesian Coffee Community Cooperative (Kokopi) cooperates with Tokopedia to hold Coffee United (www.kopiunited.id), a program to encourage local coffee industry, especially in improving the welfare of coffee farmers in Indonesia.

Through this program, both sides hope to provide local distribution of coffee products from upstream to downstream, especially through Tokopedia's digital platform.

"The world of coffee in our homeland has been growing rapidly in recent years, with data from ICO (International Coffee Organization) noting that the average growth of coffee consumption in Indonesia is bigger than the world at large, and we hope that coffee industry entrepreneurs can take advantage of the momentum is to encourage the development of UMKM business to the farmers, "said Ronald FRS as Chairman of Kokopi in Jakarta (2/2/2018).

Indonesian coffee is indeed a potential commodity that has been worldwide for a long time, although in actual world achievement Indonesia is still ranked fourth largest producer after Brazil, Columbia, and Vietnam. Indonesia's coffee became world number one last time was in 1732 (almost 300 years ago).

Participants can also attend various discussion sessions about coffee, barista training, Cafe Management Workshop, and demos. In addition, this activity can also be a forum to develop the morning network of Indonesian Coffee activists. Located in Blok M Square, the event which took place on February 2-4, 2018 will be followed by dozens of businessmen from upstream to downstream coffee.
