INDUSTRY.co.id - Jakarta - I am concerned about the emergence of an E-KTP case involving so many Indonesian national political figures today. One of them is not even less than the Speaker of the House, Setya Novanto who has even been officially designated a suspect by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK).

I personally am too layman to interpret, let alone judge what is actually happening on the stage of Indonesian politics today due to the chaos of E-KTP cases. I do not know who is right, who is wrong in the chaos of E-KTP cases that supposedly involve the amount of funds not just millions, but even trillions of billions of dollars. It is also unclear whether there is evidence of transfer of funds to those accused of corruption. If there is then it is also unclear as to why there are names that appear but then disappear from the surface of publicity to the public.

In the midst of the chaos of uncertainty, the sudden appearance of Andi Alifian Mallarangeng's final memorial role as Minister of Youth and Sports in the United Indonesia Cabinet II before he was appointed as a suspect in the case of Hambalang sport center project by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) was then sentenced to 4 years in prison by court.

Andi's position is related to Setyo Novanto's attitude which did not withdraw from DPR and Golkar after becoming suspect in the case of E-KTP. At the time he officially banned the KPK to travel abroad due to being a suspect in Hambalang case, Andi immediately resigned from the position of Menpora. Because with the ban, it is impossible for him to accomplish the task of accompanying the Indonesian athletes to travel to compete abroad.

The former Yudhoyono Spokesman also not only gave up his post as Menpora but also resigned as Secretary of the Democratic Party Assembly. Andi does not want to burden the party with the status of the suspect. Withdrawing from all political positions, Andi Mallarangeng wants to focus his inner self-energy on legal cases.

I personally appreciate and respect the Andi Mallarangeng pemisalan who now is back active in the political sphere after being declared free after serving penalty in prison Sukamiskin. In my opinion who is studying the meaning of manners, retreat Andi at the time pointed as a suspect by the Commission is an expression of the spirit of chivalry.

The courage and sincerity to resign from a position is indeed rare in the political stage of the present-day Nusantara power. But even though both are suspects of corruption cases, it is clear that the form, nature and sukma of the problems faced by Andi Mallarangeng can not just be the same with the problems faced by Setyo Novanto.

Similarly, the interpretation of the meaning of chivalry also must be different between Andi with Setyo. It can also be believed that each of them has political considerations that are mutually different from one another according to the democratic spirit and Bhinneka Tunggal Ika.
