"The airport in Semarang is critical with the old facilities that are very worrying. The development of Ahmad Yani Airport in Semarang is included in the National Strategic Project as set forth in Presidential Decree No. 58 of 2017 on the Acceleration of National Strategic Projects (PSN).
The operation of the new terminal and the development of Ahmad Yani airport cost Rp 2.07 trillion. It is planned that the new terminal will start operating with minimum requirements in May 2018 or before the Eid period.
