INDUSTRY.co.id - Banda Aceh- Garuda Indonesia Airlines Branch Banda Aceh's branches reduce the frequency of flights in Aceh as passengers decline in the region at any given time.

"The reduction in frequency is due to the lack of passengers using air transport, so management takes steps to make temporary frequency reductions," said General Manager of PT Garuda Indonesia (Persero) Branch Banda Aceh, Sugiyono contacted media crew in Banda Aceh on Monday (12 / 2/2018)

He explained in February 2018, it has made two times the frequency reduction for the flight at 10.00 am following passenger who booked was under 50 people.

"The decline in passengers is not only happening in Aceh but also in other areas throughout the country, January-March is a condition where passengers are quiet and airlines also reduce frequency," he said accompanied by Sales and Marketing Manager of PT Garuda Indonesia Branch of Banda Aceh, Akbar Kusumanegara.

According to him, the reduced frequency does not make the service decline and disappoint the customers, because it provides information two days before the flight cancellation on the hours that have been in the message.

"This means that if there is a flight cancellation, we will provide information two days before departure to passengers that there will be a change of departure schedule, they can choose the next or previous departure time and also can cancel the departure which the funds will be returned to the passengers," Sugiyono said.

He mentioned the normal flight of Garuda Indonesia from and to Sultan Iskandar Muda International Airport Blang Bintang Aceh Besar a day three times at 07.00 WIB, 10.00 WIB and 15:40 WIB using Boeing 737-800 NG capacity of 162 passengers.
