President Jokowi visits the MRT project - Jakarta, Indonesia's leading developer, PT SinarMas Land expressed interest in working on the Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) project.

Currently the Sinar Mas Group is exploring the possibility of entering into the MRT project which is planned to be extended to Cisauk station in Tangerang Regency.

Sinar Mas Strategic Development & Service CEO Land Ishak Chandra said the talks with PT MRT are still long. Therefore, it can not explain further about this plan.

"It is in talks and we are exploring, but we can not talk (any further)," he said during a press conference in Jakarta (13/2/2018).

At the same opportunity, Director of PT Bumi Serpong Damai Tbk. (BSD) Hermawan Wijaya claimed to be interested in the concept of property development in the MRT area. However, this concept is still far because the MRT itself will only build a number of routes over the next few years.

The first phase is planned to be operational in 2019. While the development of North to South will only be completed entirely next year. After that new route to the East West will be built first.

"So try to be asked to Mr. William (MRT Director)," said Hermawan.
